2010-11 Minor Midget - Marc Hodgkinson to Coach Minor Midget ’95s in 2010-11 Season
Submitted By Craig Metzger on Tuesday, February 23, 2010
The Huron-Perth Lakers are pleased to announce that Marc Hodgkinson is the Head Coach for the '95 Lakers age group in the 2010-11 season (their Minor Midget and OHL Draft year).

A non-parent Head Coach, Marc has nevertheless followed the 1995 age group in Huron-Perth and across the ALLIANCE with interest over the last three or more years. He has direct Lakers experience as he has been both an assistant coach and a manager with the Lakers 95s over the past two seasons. Two seasons that saw this age group steadily improve and have their best season ever in 2009-10.

Marc’s playing experience grows out of the Listowel Minor Hockey system where he graduated to move on and play for the Listowel Cyclones OHA Jr. B team.

He has extensive coaching experience going back long before he joined the Lakers, including:
            - Head Coach, Listowel Minor Hockey: Bantam and Juvenile
            - Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Cobourg Minor Hockey: Bantam and Midget
            - Assistant Coach, Listowel Cyclones Jr. B
            - Head Coach, Palmerston 81’s WOAA Sr. A and Sr. AA
            - Head Coach, General Manager, Cambridge Hornets OHA Sr. AAA

Between them, Marc and his wife Patti have 5 children. Marc is thankful Patti is so supportive as his approach to hockey is 100% all in – no half measures, whether that be work ethic, preparation, scouting, or recruiting. It's a commitment that wouldn't be possible without her support.

Marc is looking forward to the challenge ahead as he builds on the progress and success this age group achieved in the past two seasons under Mich Landry’s guidance. For those wanting to contact Marc, his contact information is available through the 2010-11 Minor Midget Team coaching staff page (click here).
