2009-10 Minor Atom - Minor Atoms End Season
Submitted By Tammy Donaldson on Saturday, March 06, 2010
The Minor Atoms ended their season Saturday afternoon in Sarnia.

The Lakers were behind 4-0 half way through the game but a shake up of the lines rejuvenated the team. The Minor Atoms managed to score four goals and tie the Sting late in the third period. The Sting would charge our zone off the face off and slide the puck by the Laker goalie just seconds into overtime. Lambton Sting take the 5-4 win and the series.

Congratulations to all the players. The Lakers coaches are very proud of all the players for their terrific effort during this season. Each player has improved both individually and as part of a team and also learned how hard players need to work each and every shift to compete at this level. You should all be very proud of yourselves, it was a pleasure to be in the stands and cheer on the Lakers!! Thanks to all the parents for supporting their children in regards to time & travel as well as their commitment & support of our Huron Perth Lakers Minor Atom program.

We would like to thank the coaches and staff for their time & effort that they have put into making this an enjoyable AAA hockey experience. All the players (and parents) had a great time and really appreciated the opportunity to participate in an awesome hockey experience from a great hockey organization: Huron Perth Lakers.
