Major Bantam - Major Bantams Win Over Cambridge Hawks

The Huron Perth Lakers Major Bantams bested the Cambridge Hawks on Saturday, December 17, 2011 in one of their last games of the regular season.

Carson Brookshaw opened the scoring for the Lakers on a power play at the 12 minute mark, assisted by Nathan Smith and Greg Hansford. Cambridge responded swiftly thereafter to tie the game with 10 minutes left in the 1St at 1 – 1. The Lakers were just warming up and found the net two more times before the period ended on goals by Cullen Mercer and Trent Dundas, assisted by Carson Brookshaw, Matt McGall and Ted Nichol to end the 1st up 3 – 1.

The Lakers went up 5 – 1 in the 2nd on goals by Jamie Huber and Cullen Mercer, assisted by Robbie Stovel, Hayden Favacho and Trent Dundas. The Lakers would score their 6th and final goal in the 3rd period on a fine effort by Robbie Stovel, assisted by Maverick Petrie to end the game at 6 – 1.
