Macs Tournament Day 2 & 3
Day 2- Huron Perth vs. Calgary Royals

The Calgary Royals got off to an amazing head start scoring 4 goals in the first period.

However, the Huron Perth Lakers were able to catch up by one in the second with Braedyn Aubin netting a shorthanded marker. Unfortunately for the Lakers the Royals took back their 4 goal lead less than two minutes later on a power play ending the game at 5-1. Calgary played a sound defensive game only allowing 17 shots on goal.

Day 3- Huron Perth vs. Germany U17 National Team

Germany may be new to this tournament but they’re playing like veterans winning all three of their games so far, outscoring their opponents 10-0 heading into Day 3.
Huron Perth came out with the same physical game they’re known to play which may have caught Germany offguard. However with another slow offensive start by Huron Perth, Germany scored three in the first with one goal from Vincent Hessler and two from Leann Bergmann. At one point Germany was outshooting the Lakers 13-1.
The Lakers found their game & answered back with a shorthanded goal scored by Assistant Captain Evan Metelski- the first goal scored against this strong German team.
The Nationals tried to keep the momentum going and scored two more goals in the second from Assistant Captain Maximillion Adam and Valentin Busch.  This pesky Lakers team would not go away and ended the second with a goal by Braedyn Aubin. Both teams scored on power play goals in the third, Captain Tobias Eder putting up a point for Germany and Nick Jung for the Lakers.

Next game for Huron Perth is Monday morning at 11:45am MST against the Prince Albert Mintos
