Minor Bantams vs Waterloo Wolves – Dec 20
The Minor Bantam Lakers travelled to Waterloo to face off against the Wolves in what would be a very even, tight checking game.
The only goal of the game would come in the first when Jared Weishar and Ryan Stulp worked the puck out to Drew Gross who carried it into the Waterloo end, deked around one defenseman, toe dragged by another and flipped the puck over the Waterloo goalie. The game from that point was very even with both teams having chances turned away by some strong goaltending at both ends. Goaltender Daniel Dekoning would earn the shutout and both teams should be congratulated for the penalty free game.
Final 1-0 Lakers. Shots 18-17 in favour of the Lakers.
