Update on OHF Player Movement Decision
Update on OHF Player Movement Decision

Dear Huron Perth Lakers Families,

We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the recent press release from the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) regarding player movement.

The Lakers Board of Directors has been actively engaged in discussions leading up to this decision. We remain informed and connected through our League Representatives via Alliance Hockey and are committed to staying engaged as details continue to unfold.

We encourage all families to review the information released by the OHF. Rest assured, the Huron Perth Lakers remain focused on building an excellent program that attracts, retains, and develops hockey players at the AAA and elite level. As an organization, we are ready to embrace these changes with adaptability to ensure the continued success and growth of our program. We believe that the Huron Perth Lakers is a great organization to be part of, and the Board of Directors is committed to making it even stronger amidst the changes.

Beginning in the 2025–2026 season, OHF Minor Hockey Players in the U10 age group and above will have the opportunity to participate with the Association of their choice regardless of Category (AAA, AA, A, BB, B etc.).
