U12 (2009) through U16 (2005) Tryout Registration

IS NOW OPEN

 

Register before midnight April 8, 2020 to receive the early bird pricing of $80.00. Registration cost increases to $100.00 after midnight April 8, 2020. 

NOTE:  The Early Bird deadline has been extended.  A firm date will be established once tryout dates are announced.

2007 birth year players trying out for U14 are required to complete a Mandatory Body Checking Clinic.  Huron-Perth Lakers will be hosting two clinics in partnership with SMHA. Both clinics will be held on Tuesday March 24, 2020. Please visit the SMHA website at Body Checking Registration to register for one of the two clinics being offered. Any 2007 player that does not attend one of these clinics or show proof of completion from their home centre will not be eligible to participate in tryouts.

Players are required to register and pay online prior to commencement of tryouts.

Tryout Fees must be paid or player will not be allowed to participate on or off the ice.   You can choose to pay for registration using your Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard or MasterCard debit. This is a fully secured service operated by Elavon. Please note that payments via cash, cheque and/or pre-authorized debit will NOT be accepted this year.

Huron-Perth Lakers does accept walk-ins, however you will be required to register and pay online at the arena prior to the player being permitted to skate. This can be completed with any smartphone.

Any player who is registered on or before the first scheduled tryout date is entitled to a minimum of 2 skates before he or she may be released.  Any player who registers after the first scheduled tryout date or any tryout date thereafter may be released after one tryout skate. 

COMPLETED AND SIGNED Permission to Skate Form or valid Electronic F1 Waiver must be presented at player's first tryout. 

Permission to Skate Form

Any player wishing to tryout must obtain a Permission to Skate. This form can be found by clicking here.  Please print this form, fill it out in its entirety and have your home association sign. Please ensure that your Permission to Skate form is filled out completely and signed by your home centre.  Without a signature from your home centre, your player WILL NOT be eligible to skate at tryouts. This is mandatory even for those players returning to the Huron-Perth Lakers Hockey Association from last season. The Permission to Skate must be presented at the first tryout attended in order to participate in any tryout sessions.

Electronic F1 Waiver

Please note that F1 Players are not guaranteed more than 1 skate.

Players from associations outside of the Huron-Perth Lakers area wishing to attend the Huron-Perth Lakers tryouts MUST present the following documents at their first skate and WILL NOT be allowed to participate without them:

a)    An OHF AAA Hockey Waiver (F1) (electronic or printed) from their home/adjacent AAA centre(s)

b)    A copy of the player's birth certificate

PLEASE BRING YOUR COMPLETED AND SIGNED PERMISSION TO SKATE FORM OR YOUR ELECTRONIC F1 WAIVER TO YOUR FIRST TRYOUT. THIS FORM/WAIVER MUST BE PROVIDED AT THE SIGN IN DESK. YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON THE ICE WITHOUT SAME.
