NEW OHL DRAFT for MIDGET PLAYERS
In 2017 the Ontario Hockey Leauge introduced at u18 Priority Selection Draft for Midget aged players. Only players who are rostered to Midget AAA teams are eligible to be drafted to the OHL in this draft. See link for more info:

The Huron Perth Lakers Hockey Organization is dedicated to creating a positive elite midget program for 16 & 17 year old minor hockey players with exceptional skill and the desire to continue their development and compete in the regions most competitive midget leagues. Our program is able to offer players in our region and area an exceptional opportunity to continue there pursuit of next level hockey.
There are many options available once a player graduates from his Minor Midget year. The most important factor when player evaluates his options is to find a dedicated and positive development opportunity, which consists of the following criteria:
1. Finding a quality coaching staff with a commitment to Individual Player and Team Development.
2. Finding a first class Jr. like hockey environment with home ice and dedicated dressing room.
3. Playing with and competing against players your own age and possess the same desire to compete and develop.
4. Playing on a team with a minimum of two practices (3 hrs) a week that are mandatory...not optional!
5. Finding an opportunity where you are given the option to play in multiple situations; i.e. Power Play, Penalty Kill, etc.
6. Play on a team and for an organization that is committed to a positive hockey experience.

-8 Team league
-35 game schedule
-3 20 minute periods
-Overtime: 5 minute, 4 on 4 Shoot-out
-4-Official system
- Participate in Qualified Tournaments and Showcase Events
