Minor Peewees tie Windsor 3-3
The Minor Peewees played a home game Saturday afternoon (November 25th) in Brussels against the Windsor Junior Spitfires.

The Lakers came out strong in the first period with some excellent passing and a strong forecheck; jumping to a 1-0 lead with a goal within the first five minutes of the period. However, the Spitfires were able to get a goal of their own later in the period and the period ended 1-1.

The beginning of the second period saw the Lakers surge back. Although both teams traded many shots throughout the period, it wasn't until the final third of the second period that the Lakers pulled ahead 2-1. The Spitfires kept coming and scored the equalizer with only a couple minutes left in the second.

The third period was also close with the Lakers scoring to take a 3-2 lead with only a few minutes left on the clock only to have the Spitfires tie it up before the period ended.

The end result for the game, a 3-3 tie, mirrors the result of an earlier meeting of these two teams in the season when they tied 1-1.

The Lakers' next game is Sunday, November 26th at 3:30 p.m. at the Maitland Recreation Centre in Goderich against the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs - a team they faced last year in the ALLIANCE Consolation finals.
