Major Atoms Enjoy Success in Buffalo
After playing a home and home exhibition series in the past two weeks with Elgin Middlesex (two ties) and Lambton (one win and one loss), the Major Atom Lakers were off to Buffalo for two days of team building where they played three Buffalo and area teams.

In the first game on Saturday vs. the Amherst Knights, the Lakers came away with a 9-4 win, which was impressive after spending 4 hours on the bus on the way down to Buffalo and playing with American rules. After a swim in the pool and a good night sleep at the hotel, the Lakers were up early and eager to get back to the rink for more hockey.

In the 2nd game of the weekend on Sunday morning, the Lakers wanted to build on their team play. They put on a clinic with some great passing plays in an 8-2 win over the Buffalo Bisons. It was great to see goals being scored after all five players on the ice had touched the puck.

In the 3rd game vs. the West Seneca Wings (the strongest team in the Buffalo area), the Lakers once again came out flying as they scored on the 2nd shift of the game and never looked back - winning 7-4.

All the Lakers played great over the weekend and are becoming a very well balanced team where team play is the #1 KEY TO SUCCESS.
