The Minor Bantam Lakers sit in sole possession of first place in the Alliance Eastern Division with a 7-2-1 record one - third of the way into their regular season. The MB's are also sitting in second place overall.
The Laker MB's only game of the weekend was a tour to Hamilton that they handily won 4-1. Still plagued with injuries the squad welcomed a weekend with only one game on tap. The MB's not so patiently await the return of
John Mckeown, and
Scott Coughlin to bolster the numbers on the blueline. In regular season play, the MB's have averaged 3.5 goals for per game and 1.9 against in their ten game stint to date. The Laker MB's are currently on a 5 game unbeaten streak. The MB's will host Brantford and Hamilton this weekend in what should prove to be some exciting hockey.
