Minor Bantams Represent Lakers Well At Silver Stick
The Laker MB's took the strong play they exhibited last weekend to Whitby and played some very good hockey against some very good teams.

The Lakers opened up the tournament against the Mississauga Rebels, ranked 16th in North America. Mississauga got off to a strong start in the first, but the Lakers ended up out chancing  the Rebels and took away a 2-2 tie. Game two held lots of excitement going into the match as the Lakers were facing the #1 ranked Detroit Compuware, winners of the Nike/Bauer Chicago tournament recently. The Lakers played a tremendously sound game and had the better of their opponent for much of the game. The Lakers took away a 1-1 tie and had several excellent opportunities to win it in the third. Game three the Lakers had to win to advance, their opponent Rochester Alliance got the better of them however, winning 5-2. The Laker MB's have been playing tremendous hockey of late against some very strong teams and have demonstrated they have the ability to compete with any team they face.
