Minor Midgets Finish Week Off Strong
The Huron-Perth Lakers AAA Minor Midgets completed a successful week of hockey earning 2 wins & 1 tie to bring their season record to date to 8 wins, 4 losses, & 3 ties.The team travelled to Brantford on Wednesday, Sept 26 and fought to a 3-3 tie with the Brantford 99er's.
The Lakers played their second game in the new Stratford Arena on Thursday, Sept 27, against the visiting Kitchener Jr. Rangers and handed the Rangers their first loss of the season winning 3-1.
The Minor Midgets travel to Markham for the Thanksgiving weekend to participate in the Markham Majors AAA Thanksgiving Classic with games scheduled against the host Markham Majors, Sudbury Jr. Wolves, The Upper Canada (Ottawa) Cyclones, and the Canton Crush.
