Minor Atoms Have a Tough Weekend on the Road
Travelling to Brantford and Sarnia, trying hard both games but just a couple goals short.

The Brantford game found the Lakers down 2-1 in the first with the Lakers' goal coming from Braeden Burdett assisted by Kyle Stanbury. In the second, Sam Dupuis would score assisted by Joshua Zelek, and then Kyle Stanbury scored unassisted. Brantford would also get 2 goals in the second. The Lakers worked hard in the 3rd trying to tie the match but Brantford would get 1 more ending the game 5-3. Owen Hahn did a great job in net  for this game.

On Sunday the boys went to Sarnia. Reid Campbell  would score 1st on a nice pass from Sam Dupuis, Jake Weston also picking up an assist. Into the 2nd up 1-0 at 10:04 the Lakers would take a 2 goal lead on a nice goal by Braeden Burdett assisted by Kyle Stanbury and and Joshua Zelek. 1 minute later the Lambton Sting would get 2 quick goals to tie the game at 2. Before the end of the 2nd, Cody Renwick took a shot from the point and  Sheldon Pryce put home the rebound, with Braeden Burdett also picking up an assist. Up 3-2 heading into the 3rd. Not much of a 3rd period, the Lakers gave up 3 third period goals as the game would end 5-3.

Thursday night the boys had an exhibition game against the Port Huron Flags winning the game 10 to 4.

This weekend the boys travel to Kitchener, and then a home game on Sunday in Goderich vs Waterloo.
