Minor Atom Season Comes to an end!
These boys didn't go down without putting up a great fight against Waterloo!!

Going into Thursday night's game the Lakers new that it was a must win situation to advance to the final and so they came out on fire, taking a 2-0 lead after the 1st period on goals by Kyle Stanbury (assisted by Jake Weston) and then on a power play by Tanner Reid (assisted by Sheldon Pryce and Carter McLlwain).

Early in the 2nd, Waterloo would get 1 back and then tie the game on a PP. Late in the 2nd, the Lakers would have a 5 on 3, controlling the puck well but could not manage to get the go ahead goal.

Into the 3rd we go all tied at 2, with lots of chances at both ends Waterloo takes the lead at 11:25. Throwing everything at the Wolves net trying to tie the match, at 4:37 Waterloo would take a 4-2 lead. Right to the final buzzer the boys did not give up as they desperately tried to get back into the game in the dying minutes, goalie pulled, but this game would end with a 4-2 win for the Wolves. Bobby McLachlan did his job in net as the Lakers did end up getting out shot.

Great fight and great season boys, keep your heads up high!!
