Major Bantam Lakers Start Playoffs With 2 Wins
After receieving a bye in the first round of playoffs, the Huron Perth Lakers Major Bantam team were hungry for a good start and that's exactly what they accomplished. The game was filled with aggressive fore-checking, solid defence and outstanding net minding.

In their first game in London on Saturday, the Lakers came out flying defeating London Green 3-0. Derek Elliot got things started on a short handed goal from Zach Goodhew. Adam Zehr made it a two goal lead from Keegan McLelland and Goodhew. Garrett James finished the scoring from Ryan Stulp and Zehr. Kent Taylor was solid in net for the shutout with some outstanding toe saves.

On Sunday, in Stratford, the Lakers repeated their performance with another 3-0 victory. Nathan Templeman opened the scoring from Drew Gross, and Alex Peters. Quinten Haddock added another from James and Elliot. Jared Weisher completed the scoring from Jacob Middleton and Gross. Daniel Dekoning was solid in net for the shutout denying any opportunities for London. The Lakers get a chance to finish the series on Tuesday, when the two teams meet again in Brussels at 7:00 pm.
