Blight and MacSorley to Compete for Team ALLIANCE in Ontario U16 Prospects Tournament
Minor Midget Lakers Braydon Blight and Mac MacSorley have been named to the Team ALLIANCE U16 team that will be competing in a six team tournament showcasing the best 1995 birth year players in Ontario on August 12-15th.

Blight and MacSorley were selected for Team ALLIANCE after attending the Alliance U16 Team Selection Camp in June. The Lakers had five players invited to this Camp including Michael Siddall, Greg Williams, and Joe Metzger, in addition to Blight and MacSorley. Metzger was unable to participate due to an injury but the other four players all had an excellent camp and did the Lakers proud. As ALLIANCE Hockey Director of Operations Gary McFarlane said in announcing the Team ALLIANCE roster, "Our staff had a very difficult task in selecting 20 players from the Selection Camp. The talent pool at this age level in ALLIANCE Hockey is very deep which made the decisions tough."

The Tournament is being held to identify potential players for Team Ontario who will represent the Province and compete for a gold medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia from February 11 - 27, 2011. The six teams in the tournament represent:
- ALLIANCE Hockey,
- Greater Toronto Hockey League,
- Hockey Northwestern Ontario,
- Northern Ontario Hockey Association,
- Ottawa District Hockey Association, and
- Ontario Minor Hockey Association.
All games are taking place at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex. More information on the tournament is available by clicking here.

Congratulations Braydon and Mac and best of luck in the upcoming tournament!
