Minor Atoms End Regulation with Tie

The Minor Atoms ended the regular season with a hard fought 2-2 tie with first place Kitchener. Sam Sedley got the Lakers up 1-0 in the first period with a redirected shot that alluded the Kitchener netminder. Then in the second period Camden Daigle went top shelf with assists to Luke Gaylor and Jack Stecho. Unfortunately the young Lakers could not hold off the hard charging Jr. Rangers in the 3rd but nonetheless it was a strong defensive effort by the whole team.

Aaron Waugh was very solid for the 2nd straight game and Wade Robinson earned the Laker chain from his defensive position. The Minor Atoms ended the regular season in 3rd place (4th overall in Alliance) in the tight Pavillion West Division with a 16-12-4 record. They now face league rival Waterloo in a quarterfinal Playdown series.
