Huron Perth and Waterloo Tied at One Win Apiece
Written by Chris Holloway

The HP Lakers and Waterloo Wolves opened their quarter-final Alliance Playdown series this past weekend. Each team won a home game 1-0 in this tightly contested series. On Saturday in Waterloo the Lakers held the edge in play but came up short in the 1-0 loss. Kyle Powers had a strong game in net and Jackson McLlwain had a strong two-way game earning the Laker chain. It was a complete team effort where the only thing missing was the "W".

On Sunday in Goderich the roles were reversed where Waterloo controlled the game but Huron-Perth stole a victory from them. Brady Ballantyne scored the lone goal of the game for the Lakers. Aaron Waugh was sensational in net earning the shutout and Laker Chain. These teams can now look ahead to next weekend and the possibility of 3 games in 3 days.
