Major Atoms Improve to 4-4-3
After taking 3 of a possible 4 points the previous weekend, the Major Atoms looked to continue their success as they hosted the Lambton Jr Sting in Stratford Sunday. The Lakers came out of the gates quickly and pressured the puck from the opening faceoff.  Less than 4 minutes in Tyler Hotson found the mesh (from Tate Gaylor) to get the home team rolling.  Less than 2 minutes later however, Lambton would even the score and the 2 teams remained tied 1-1 for the period.

Ten seconds into the 2nd frame Zac McCann would score for the Lakers to take the lead 2-1 (assisted by Hotson and Blake Wideman).  Sting once again would even things up as their goalie kicked aside numerous chances, until late in the period when Kaden Hoggarth would put the Huron-Perth up for good with his first of 2 goals (set up by Mason Weber and Gaylor). The Major Atoms would add a couple power play goals in the beginning of the third, with the first from Kayden Schooley (unassisted) and then another from McNaughton (Hoggarth) to give them some insurance.  Hoggarth would add another late in the game from Weber and McNaughton to round out the scoring.  Final Score 6 - 2 for the Lakers.  Of note was the strong play of the Laker defence who limited the opposition's chances and kept the shots to only 5 against.
