Saturday in Stratford, the Lakers defeated Chatham-Kent by the score of 4-2.  Tanner Johnson opened the scoring with a shot to the top corner past a screened goaltender.  Isaiah Waxman and Brett Denny picked up the assists.  After Chatham tied the scored 7 minutes later, Noah Kuno put the Lakers ahead burying a shot from in close.  Jacob Rooke, with some great forechecking behind the net, and Johnson picked up assists.  3 minutes into the 2nd period, Johnson converted on a 2 on 1 with a shot to the top corner to make the score 3-1.  Kade Landry picked up the assist on the play.  After Chatham scored another goal just seconds into the 3rd period, Johnson scored his 3rd goal of the game, with 15 seconds left, redirecting a Waxman pass on the powerplay to seal the game.  Will Thibeault picked up an assist as well.  Goaltender Justin Hergott was terrific throughout, including making a breakaway save in the last minute of the game, preserving the 3-2 lead at the time.
