Lineup Injection leads to Win
Playing in their first game of 2014 and just having 3 players back from injury, the NA Engineering Lakers found themselves trailing the Lambton Jr Sting 3-0 after the opening period.

But after regrouping, the Lakers controlled the play and found themselves trailing by only 1 with 19 minutes to play in the 3rd period.

The comeback was cued with a perfect outlet pass from goaltender Ben Larder which sent the Lakers in on the attack and team captain Caleb Warren made no mistake finding the back of the net with 2 minutes left in the 2nd period.  Jeremy Kuehn, playing in his 1st Regular Season game, notched his 1st point grabbing an assist.

In the first minute of the final frame, Kuehn made his presence known by scoring his 1st of the season with assists to Warren and Broedy Karelse to pull the Lakers to within a goal.

A back n forth period saw several solid scoring opportunities for each team but it settled into a game of who makes the next mistake. After the Lakers successfully killed off a minor penalty for Delay of Game, the opportunity came as Lambton was whistled for cross-checking sending the Lakers to the Power Play with less than a minute on the clock.

With the Extra Attacker on for a 6-4 situation for the Lakers, Maverick Petrie scored his 1st of the season, tying the game with a mere 16 seconds to play. Wyatt Lansdell & Karelse drew assists.

With the momentum now completely swung in favour of the Lakers, they could taste the opportunity that has cost them a few times this season & with 2 seconds left to play, Kuehn scored his 2nd of the game rewarding the Lakers with a 4-3 come from behind victory!
