Minor Atom Lakers grab share of second
The Minor Atom Lakers kept pace with the pack in the East as they were able to grab four points on the weekend to keep a share of second in the East division. Saturday the Lakers hosted Cambridge which was the first meeting between the two clubs. With the Lakers coming out sluggish in the first two periods which resulted in the Lakers trailing 2-1 heading to the third. In the third the fellas responded with five unanswered goals and never looked back handing Cambridge a 6-2 loss. Sunday the Lakers hosted

the 99ers from Brantford in a afternoon tilt. Brantford opened the scoring half way through the first and carried that lead into the second leading 1-0. The Lakers responded with six unanswered goals the rest of the way and carried a 6-1 win home with them to round out the weekend.  With the win, the Lakers claim a share of second with Waterloo in the East division.  Next weekend the Lakers take to the road with games in Kitchener and Cambridge.
