Major Peewees Tie Cambridge 2 - 2 !
The Lakers came out flying tonight against the Cambridge Hawks , scoring 1st just 1:30 into the game by Eric Roes assisted Kaden Hoggarth and Blake Wideman.
Even though the Lakers owned the first period the Hawks would manage to tie the game with just a couple minutes to go in period 1 . Early in the second the Hawks would take the lead 2 - 1 when the Lakers seemed to take their foot off the gas . With 3:34 left in the period on the power play , Mitch LaFay scored when he tipped a point shot from Coleson Fischer also assisted by Jack Robinson .
The 3rd period would see action at both ends and Hardy Westman shut the door between the pipes to hang on to a 2 - 2 tie , pretty much like a win for the Lakers .
The team now heads to Niagara NY next weekend where they hope to find the key to some offence.
