Macs Tournament- DAY 1
The Huron Perth Lakers and the Valley West Hawks played a close game at the Father David Bauer Arena, tying a 3-3.
Valley West’s James Malm potted two goals early in the first period, with the second coming while short a skater. Braedyn Aubin and Nick Jung of the Lakers scored a minute apart late in the first to leave the game knotted at two heading into the second. Huron Perth took the lead in the dying minutes of the second on a goal by Mackinnon Hawkins on the power play. Malm of the Hawks rounded out his hat trick near the halfway point of the third period to end the scoring.
Day 2 will see the Midgets take on the Calgary Royals at 5:15pm MST
