Pre Tryout Information
Hi Tryout Participants and Parents,

My name is Alex Elliott and I will be the Head Coach of the U15 Huron-Perth Lakers for the upcoming season. It has been a long 18 months since we have been able to compete in a traditional hockey season. Due to the nature of the on-going pandemic tryouts are going to look a little different from previous seasons. Below is a brief snap shot of the changes that we will experience this year.

1.      There will be no post tryout meetings. A list will be posted online with the players that are moving on to the next tryout as well as a list of players involved with the next exhibition game. We request that if you would like a debrief on your release that you wait 24 hours to reach out and discuss.

2.      Unfortunately, if a player is not participating in an exhibition game, they will be unable to come watch the game.

3.      Each arena has a different COVID protocol. For our first skate in Stratford, we are  allowed in the arena 15min prior to the skate. We strongly encourage that players arrive 30-45min early to get a warm up in outside the arena. We will post arena protocols for our road games on the website the night prior with our lineup. It is the responsibility of the player and parents to review the protocols and adhere to them.

4.      The Lakers will require all players to be fully vaccinated prior to October 31st. For a more in-depth look at the vaccination policy please review the link below:

5.      Jerseys are to be returned to the registration desk after each skate.

6.     Players not signed by the fourth day of tryouts September 13, 2021 11:59 pm will be eligible to request an F1 waiver (Freedom of Movement). If you are released prior to September 13th, you will also be able to request an F1 waiver. The process to request an F1 waiver will be included with every release post.

7.     The schedule for all tryouts can be found at the link below under the U15 Team:

We will do our best to have all posts completed by 11pm each night.

We look forward to having all the players come out and compete for a spot on the U15 Huron-Perth Lakers.

Regards,

Alex Elliott
