Hockey Hockey Hockey
If your part of the hockey community your probably knee deep in hockey again seemingly before it even ends. I know all to well as a parent of a 99 player and an executive of the Huron Perth Lakers AAA hockey club here in South Western Ontario.
League play ends as a season wraps up but not before year end banquet preparations are being made to cap another season while at the same time new coaches are being selected for next fall and shortly before spring tryouts begin but all of course on the heels of a growing spring/summer hockey program which has you running the hockey Highways all over again. As I said to many others and as others know all too well, it really never ends... which is why I have reached out to so many hockey communities over the past year and early this spring. Its never too soon to organize hockey!
The Huron Perth Lakers Organization is excited about their first ever organizational tournament however we realize the importance and responsibility of creating a great hockey experience and great competition for our guest teams. Its not as though we have never hosted a tournament. We have successfully hosted OHF title championships as well as OHF Bantam showcase events and the infamous "Nations Cup Tournament" in 2011 with great success. We are fortunate to have tremendous support in our region when it comes to hockey. Our restaurants, hotels coffee shops, small business and corporate entities all contribute to make this the best hockey town in Ontario. We are confident our visiting teams will experience grass roots hockey at its best.
When considering your tournament schedule this spring think about attending a tournament that will have you playing in a small community that supports hockey immensely. It is my hope your team is able to experience what many hockey players in our region take for granted.
We look forward to your application and talking more about hockey soon.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us and visit often to keep up to date on this event.
Yours in Hockey,
