"GLC" Super Sunday produces Two Great Final Games
4 "GLC"Champions only one Huron Perth Lakers Great Lakes Cup!
In the last day of the Inaugural Great Lakes Cup, it was evident that the very best teams were rewarded the opportunity to play in the championship round.
Minor PeeWee Division Markham Waxers edge out an equally superb Burlington Eagles in a thrilling 3 man shootout only after a five minute sudden victory overtime failed to reward either team.
Minor Bantam Division showcased the Ottawa Jr. 67s and the London Jr. Knights in a relentless period for period battle for the right to have their name engraved on the Huron Perth Lakers Great Lakes Cup. Both teams left the ice knowing they had given all they had in the seventh and final game. The Knights narrowly beat Ottawa 2-1 in regular game time.
Thank you to all 28 participating teams for making this a remarkable weekend and another successful chapter of Huron Perth Lakers Hockey.
Thank you for your support!
