2014 Nations Cup Winner!
The 2014 Lakers competed in the Nations Cup in Detroit over the weekend and along with the other Canadian teams in their division (2014 Crosby) were on the winning side. They went 3-1 in the round robin (scores on our site), ended up as the top seed on the Canadian team which saw them in a rematch vs Victory Honda on Sunday. The score between the two sides was 3 to 3 so the winner of our game won the Cup. We were also tied at 3 in our game and it came down to a shootout of which our boys came out on top.
I should also point out that the 2011's did extremely well with 3 wins and a tie in the round robin and a 6-0 win in the 2 seed game on Sunday. In that division the score was tied overall after the Sunday games and USA won in a shootout.
Overall Canada won 211 to 210 and had 8 division titles to 7.
In the end a great showing by Canada and the Lakers!!!
