Lakers Come Close In Sarnia Tournament
The Laker 93’s great Golden Blade run fell just short as the team dropped a 2-1 overtime decision in the Championship game to Alliance rivals Elgin-Middlesex. Overall a very solid performance by all the players as the team outscored their opponents 24-9 in the tournament.

A couple of noteworthy performances over the 6 games were; Garrett Meurs of Ripley tallying 8 goals and a total of 11 points, and the defense pairing of Mac Nichol of Listowel and Jordan Currie of Seaforth racking up an astonishing combined plus/minus rating of +19 !!

The team has completed their preseason stint with an impressive 8 win, 2 loss and 3 tie record. The week ahead will have the team busy working on their game in practice, in preparation for their season opener in Goderich versus Windsor this Sunday and their first Eastern Division tilt against rival Brantford in Milverton, Tuesday evening.
