Major Midgets Remain 1st Overall

Saturday afternoon at the Stratford Rotary Complex the Major Midget Lakers team played against the Lambton Jr. Sting.

After a lack luster first period that saw the Lakers up only by a score of 1-0, the team dominated its opponent in the second and third periods with the score ending up 7-0.

Goal scorers for the Lakers were David Dalby (Stratford), Mitchell McIntosh (Stratford), Jordan Currie (Seaforth), Sam Feagan (Goderich) and Mitchell Berzins (Ingersoll) with the hat trick.

Assisting on the goals were Ryan Chambers (Teeswater), Kurtis Lavis (Ingersoll), Matthew Lupton (Embro), Bryan McCauley (Ingersoll), Ryan Field (4) (Arva), Brent Kipfer (Stratford), Kyle Murphy (London), Eli Adair (Stratford), and McIntosh.

Micheals Roefs (Ingersoll) was stellar in net making 31 saves for the shutout.

The Lakers sit atop league standings with 29 points with an overall league record of 14-3-0-1.

Next Action for the Lakers is in the Kitchener Blueline Tournament on November 27-29.
