Minor Bantams Secure First Place Overall with Points in Three Back to Back Games

Minor Bantams vs Cambridge Jan 30th in St. Marys
  
With a very balanced attack that saw 11 different players put points on the board and Kent Taylor stop 20 of 20,the Lakers dominated the Hawks in a 6-0 victory.

1st period

Drew Grossfrom Jacob Middleton and Bayley Boyes (PP)

Quinten Haddockfrom Carter Stewart and Jared Weishar

Keegan McLellandfrom Riley Roberts and McKenzie Carter

2nd period

Boyes from Gross and Garrett JamesGross from Stewart and Weishar

Derek Elliott from Roberts and McLelland (PP)

 

Final 6-0 Lakers, shots 35-20 in favour of the Lakers.

 

Minor Bantams vs London Gold Jan 31st in Goderich

 

In a fast tight game too many penalties cost the Lakers as they tied London. Strong play by Daniel Dekoning assured the point as he stops two breakaways in the third.

 

1st period

London on power play (5 on 3)

Final 2-2, shots 27-21 in favour of London.

 


Minor Bantams vs Brantford Feb 1st in Brantford

 

A late defensive breakdown cost Taylor the shutout but is the only negative in a 6-1 romp over Brantford as all lines again put points on the board.
