Lakers pull out win against Hamilton
In a very scrappy penalty filled game 1, the Lakers travelled to Hamilton to take on the rival Reps.

After a scoreless 1st period that saw Kints close the door on a couple Reps breakaways. The 2nd period saw the Lakers take full control as Hotson scored 2 goals 24 seconds apart, the 1st on a setup from Leis and his 2nd on a amazing feed cross ice from Hoggarth. The Lakers answered right back after the Reps scored with 1:08 left in the 2nd. Schooley sprung Leis who had snuck in behind the D and buried to make it 3-1 with 16 seconds left. The 3rd period saw both teams spend most of the period in the penalty box and the Lakers held off the late surge from the Reps to take the victory 3-2.
