Major Atoms Lose Close One to Huskies
The Major Atom Lakers dropped a 3-2 decision in a penalty filled game on Sunday in Hamilton. The Lakers came out flying with a goal in the first shift by Wideman to set the pace. The Huskies quickly scored on a 2 man advantage to even things up though. Hogarth scored a short handed goal early in the second, but Hamilton once again equalled the score on another powerplay. The game remained tied for most of the third, as the Lakers took it to their opponents outchancing them nearly three to one. This was not the Lakers day however, as the Huskies took the final lead with less than 3 minutes left in the match.
