A Closer Look- Sun County Panthers

When you think of determination and playing with heart, the Sun County Panthers would be the perfect poster team.

Back in January, the Panthers were sitting 4th in their Division with powerhouse teams like London & Elgin Middlesex in control of the Division. But it the true spirit of heart & determination, the Coaching Staff saw everything click at exactly the right time-> The start of the Playoffs

After sweeping Windsor in the 1st Round, the team shocked the top ranked London Jr Knights in the Quarter Final 3 games to 1. The path didnt get easier as next up was the East Division Champs, Kitchener Rangers in the Semi Final. A back and forth series that Sun County finished off in Game 5, winning the series 3 games to 2.

In the Final, Waterloo was the last obstacle standing in their way of winning the Alliance and a trip to the All-Ontario Championship. So with the end in site, the team continued to build momentum and confidence, sweeping the Wolves in 4 straight games to earn the title of Alliance Champions.
