Shortly after the Huron-Perth Laker Major Peewees had selected their team last April, they found out there was an opportunity for them to host the All-Ontario AAA Major Peewee Championship tournament. As the team had its share of up and down games throughout the year, the players seem to build a stronger character after the Christmas tournament in Burlington.
The OHF tournament was not the main focus of the year for the team, but it will be a great experience for the players and the Huron-Perth Lakers organization.
Penny Brookshaw (tournament chairperson) has put a lot of personal time and effort into get the tournament organized.
As Head Coach I know the players have kept their best for the tournament.
