Major Atoms Silver Championship Finalists
Submitted By Tammy Donaldson on Wednesday, January 26, 2011
The Huron Perth Laker Major Atoms competed in the 2011 Rochester ’00 Invitational Games which included 28 highly competitive North American teams. The team battled hard from beginning to end and came away as Silver Championship Finalists.

The Major Atoms played exceptionally well throughout the weekend defeating teams from Kingston, Clarence, Markham & New Jersey. The Silver Championship game matched the Lakers against Boston’s South Shore Kings. Both teams fought hard but it would be the Kings who would prevail with the 5-4 championship win. The Major Atoms represented the Lakers well and should be very proud of the effort displayed last weekend. The team had solid goaltending, excellent defense and equal contribution with goals and assists from all of the forwards. Keep up the great team efforts boys!!!
