If you are like me, then you had a coach that positively impacted your life, and for that you are eternally grateful. Your coach was your motivator, teacher, adviser, sympathizer, counselor and friend. Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” It is one of my favorite quotes as it rings so true. Our coaches teach hockey, and much, much more. hockey is the medium used to teach composure, intensity, desire, work ethic, social skills, dealing with anger and frustration and every other feeling we could ever dream of being exposed to. We have a high performance environment that will teach our athletes to perform at a high level in whatever their future endeavors might be.
Of all the things your executive does, coaching selection is the most important. This year we are taking a somewhat different approach in that we have created a coaching selection committee, comprised of hockey experienced individuals that are outside of our organization. These individuals, headed up by Dave Williams our coach mentor, will be responsible for our coaching selection this year to ensure we are picking the best individuals possible.
How can you help? Our parents are a tremendous resource, if you are aware of an individual that you feel would be an asset to our organization, please encourage them to apply.

Selected Head Coaches are eligible to receive:• expenses and compensation remuneration
• reimbursement for coaching certification
• opportunity to coach the premium skilled players within the Huron-Perth Zone
• opportunity to coach at the highest level of minor hockey in North America
• opportunity to be recognized as an elite hockey coach and further coaching aspirations
• participate with a professionally managed hockey organization
