Chad Smalley from Stratford Joins General Manager Nick Aroutzidis to lead the Major Midgets as their Head Coach for the Upcoming Season.
The Huron Perth Lakers are pleased to announce that Stratford resident Chad Smalley has accepted the Head Coaching responsibilities for the Major Midget program for the upcoming 2007-08 Season. Chad brings a level of success to the team with proven coaching experience that includes 8 League Championships & 2 OHF Silver Medals.
After several years as a Head Coach, Chad spent this past season as the Assistant Coach with the Stratford Warriors ‘AA’ Major Midgets. He was instrumental in assembling a team that went on to win Silver at the OHF Midget Championships & recently saw 3 players drafted by OHL teams.
Chad is devoted to developing players to the best of his ability & helping prepare them for the next level. He looks forward to building on the success of last season & will be starting the process immediately.
Chad’s experience includes:
- Intermediate Level Coaching Certification
- 14 years coaching experience (1993-present)
- Assistant G.M. with the St. Marys Lincolns Jr. B team (1998-2000)
- Assistant G.M. with the Aylmer Aces (2000-2001)
- General Manager of the Aylmer Aces (2001-2002)
- Player Scout for University of Western Ontario
