Meurs Leads the Way as Lakers Alumnus Shines in his First OHL Pre-season Game
Lakers alumnus, Garrett Meurs, had a spectacular outing in his first pre-season game with the Plymouth Whalers last Saturday as the Whalers defeated the Saginaw Spirit 7-2.
The Whalers took on state rivals Saginaw in an exhibition game in Brighton, Michigan. Meurs led the Whalers with two goals and three assists and was named first star of the game.
Meurs has a few more pre-season games including one in London on September 11th against the Knights. Regular season for the Whalers starts on the 17th in Windsor, with the home opener in Plymouth slated for September 19th.
