Press Release - Laker Day this Saturday in Goderich!
Submitted By kvollmer on Thursday, October 17, 2013

The Huron Perth AAA Lakers Hockey Club executive are busy preparing for the 2013 edition of Laker Day, to be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Maitland Recreation Centre in Goderich.  Laker Day is the only day during the entire 2013/14 season that every Huron Perth AAA Lakers hockey team from Minor Atom through to Minor Midget will each play a  home game under the same roof.

The day gets going at 10:30 a.m. when the Huron Perth Lakers AAA Minor Atom team will face the AAA Cambridge Hawks and will conclude with the 8 p.m. game when the Huron Perth Lakers AAA Minor Midgets play the Hamilton AAA Huskies.  Snap Shot Photography from Exeter will be there catching the action on camera and Sound Syndicate from Stratford will be there to provide the “full package” with all games being announced and music played to keep the tempo up-beat!  Parents, grandparents, siblings and friends are invited to join in the action by wearing the Laker colours and cheering on the home teams!  If you don’t have any Laker clothing just yet, Dunny’s Source for Sports will be on hand with anything and everything Lakers for sale and has kindly donated the 14 MVP Player of the Game shirts that will be given out after each game.   Local restaurants have been generous with their support, with the younger teams getting coupons from A & W and Harvey’s while anyone who has a Laker Day program in hand is entitled to 15% off of their food bill at Boston Pizza or Crabby Joe’s in Goderich.  All in all it is shaping up to be a great day for the Huron Perth AAA Lakers Hockey Club who are proudly now in their 18th season of delivering AAA hockey opportunities to the families of Perth & Huron Counties. Admission is free to Laker Day.
