Laker Day at the Stratford Warriors
Submitted By Jill tenHag on Thursday, February 22, 2018
This past Monday was Laker Day at the Stratford Warrior Jr. B Hockey game at the Allman Arena where the Stratford Warriors played host to their cross County rival the Listowel Cyclones. Many current Laker players and coaches were on hand to watch a very highly skilled and competitive game between the first place Listowel Cyclone and second place Stratford Warriors with the Cyclones edging the Warriors 2-1.

Prior to game past Huron Perth Laker players from both teams were recognized and presented with a small token of appreciation.

In total there are 17 past players and coaches who had gone through the Huron Perth Lakers AAA Association including, representing Stratford was Brent West, Mitchell Casey, Kaleb Pearson, Malcolm McLeod, assistant coach Dave Schlitt and Trainer Tyler Mathieson. Representing Listowel was Keaton Willis, Mitch Deelstra, Caleb Warren, Blake Nichol, Cullen Mercer, Holdyn Lansink, Chayse Herrfort, head coach Jason Brooks, assistant coach Mike Brooks and Jesse Cole.

We wish both the Stratford Warriors and Listowel Cyclones continued success throughout the season.
