Welcome Back Paul Langis as Head Coach of Minor Bantam
Submitted By Jill tenHag on Saturday, March 16, 2019
The Lakers are excited to welcome back Paul Langis to lead the 2006 team in the 2019-20 season.

Paul was a product of the Timmins Minor Hockey Association AAA program prior to playing varsity basketball and attending the University of Guelph.  Paul brings over 20 years of hockey and basketball coaching experience to the Lakers. He has held head coaching and assistant coaching positions at a variety of levels from novice to midget with both the Timmins Minor Hockey Association and most recently with Goderich Minor Hockey. Paul has also coached all levels of youth basketball and players from high school up to University and Provincial teams.  Paul possesses a Masters of Education degree in Leadership and Development and currently works with the Avon Maitland District School Board.  He states that "As a coach, I always strive to provide an opportunity for all players to develop new skills and enhance existing skills by creating a learning environment that is constantly challenging and enjoyable. I believe strong communication is the key to helping all players improve their individual and team techniques, tactics and mental approach to the game."As a teacher, father and coach Paul believes that hockey and sport provides opportunity for players to learn many of life’s lessons in a supportive team environment. The Minor Bantam players will be expected to commit to a strong work ethic and to demonstrate a team first positive attitude on and off of the ice.
