99 Minor PeeWee Lakers Win 2010 Quinte Cup
Congratulations to all the 99 Huron Perth Minor PeeWees on their well deserved Championship win at the 2010 Quinte Cup Tournament over the past weekend. It was an exciting tournament with many challenges that were overcome with determination and the commitment to win as a team.



Game 1 Friday (TIE)  HPL 2      YORK SIMCOE EXPRESS 2
-Hard hitting game as the YSE team came out strong and the HPL team stepped it up to match
-Jacob Rooke (Embro) struck first unassisted on the power play
-Ashton Stockie (Stratford) to tie it up at 2 unassisted on a rebound shot
Netminder Bailey Paquette(Stratford) played well between the pipes
 
GAME 2 Friday (Win)  HPL 3 Quine Red Devils 0
-HPL came out testing the waters but soon began to move the puck with precise passing and quick skating
-GOALS:1) Ashton Stockie(Stratford) scored on a rush pass from Mitchel Deelstra (Gowanstown) and Kade Landry (Gowanstown)
             2)Noah Kuno (Stratford) assisted by Carter Collinson(Listowel) and Jacob Rooke (Embro)
             3)Ben Derrough (Goderich) on a slap shot assisted by Brett Denny (Stratford)
Netminder Brock Baier earned the shut out.
 
Game 3 Saturday (Tie) HPL 2  WELLAND TIGERS 2
-Although HPL dominated the game the scoreboard reflected a tie
Goals:1) Dillon Weinheimer (Stratford) on a rebound from the mighty shot of Ben Derrough (Goderich)
         2) Tanner Hertel (Stratford0 from Noah Kuno (Stratford) and Ben Derrough (Goderich)
HPL peppered the Welland Goalie as they outshot their opponent by double

Game 4 Saturday (Win)   HPL 1    OTTAWA STING
Loan goal scored by Will Thibeault (Stratford) on a rush assisted by Tanner Hertel(Stratford)
Brock Baier (Wallace) earned the shut out
 
 
Game 5 Sunday Semi final (Win)  HPL 4   CLARINGTON TOROS 0
Goals: 1) Dillon Weinheimer (Stratford) on rebound from Will Thibeault (Stratford)
          2)Ashton Stockie (Stratford) tucked it in on rebound assisted by Kuno (Stratford)
          3)Stockie (Stratford) again tucking it in on the backhand deeking the goalie on the PP assisted by Kuno and Carter Collinson (Listowel)
          4) Derrough on the slap shot
Bailey Paquette (Stratford) earned the shut out

Goals: 1) Blair Butchart(Palmerston) rebound goal assisted by Noah Kuno (Stratford)
          2) Noah Kuno from Butchart
          3)Noah Kuno on the empty net assisted by Kade Landry
