Update on the latest games for the Minor Atoms

The minor Atoms coming off the emotional high of winning the St Catherine's tournament faced Hamilton in their 1st game back to the regular season with a penalty and goal filled game that saw the Lakers keep their composure and put 7 goals in the back of Hamilton's net leading the offence outburst was Hotson with 3 G 1 A , McCann 2 G 2A, with Pryce and Leis rounding out the scoring.  Picking up assists were Robinson 2A, Pryce,Schooley,Kaden Hoggarth, Weber, Coultes and Crowley.  Newson turned aside a late charge from Hamilton to preserve the victory.
2nd game back the Lakers took on Wolves in the "not so home" ice of Goderich looking for their 1st win at that rink.  taing a 3-1 lead into the 3rd the Lakers could not shut the door giving up two late goes for the 3-3 tie in a game that the Lakers dominated for the entire game save for :27 seconds!  Goal scorers were Schooley, McCann, and Hotson with helpers going Tate Gaylor, Robinson, Pryce, and McCann.  This game saw McCann's goal scoring streak pushed to 6 games and Robinson's and Schooley point streak to 5 games.

In a game to forget the Lakers travelled to EMC to take on the Chiefs and found themselves in an early hole that continued to get bigger, taking at 11-3 loss, but on the positive side was Robinson (1 G) and Schooley extended their streaks to 6 games and McCann pushing his goal streak to 7  on a feed from Hotson and Alex Crowley scoring a beautiful short handed goal.  But a tough day in Lakers Nation.
Wanting to bounce back against 1st place Brantford once again the Lakers gave up an 2 early goals that they needed to recover from, but they responded to be down 3-2 after 1 period on goals from McCann (streak to 7)and Pryce. Hotson and Crowley scored in the 3rd to bring it to 4 but in the end Brantford scored late to take the victory.  With Robinson and Schooley's streak snapped at 6 it was time for others to start their own streaks Crowley now has a 2 gm goal streak, Pryce and Bobby Leis added 2 assist, with helpers from Braeden McNaughton, Connor Aarts, and McCann.  Hotson's streak now has hit 6 games as the Lakers look for more streaks to continue going into the final 2 game of the regular season against Kitchener.
