PeeWees split weekend games
The PeeWees played two entertaining games on the weekend, losing 3-0 to Elgin-Middlesex Saturday in St Marys and defeating the Hamilton Reps 3-0 at Chedoke on Sunday.

vs Elgin-Middlesex - November 19th
On Saturday, the HPL PeeWees faced Elgin-Middlesex for 2nd time this season. The Lakers anticipated a strong effort from Elgin as they recently defeated 1st place Waterloo the weekend before.

The Lakers came out strong and pressured Elgin for most of the 1st period. The 2nd period was better for Elgin and both teams traded quality chances. In the 2nd period, the Lakers hit two crossbars and missed an open net tap in. The missed opportunities would come back to haunt the Lakers.

In the 3rd period, Elgin gained momemtum and outplayed the Lakers. With 5 minutes left, a goalmouth scramble resulted in Elgin's 1st goal. Moments later, an Elgin forward scored a beauty to make it 2-0.

The Lakers attempted a comeback but Elgin held on, scoring an empty net goal to make the final 3-0. Bailey Paquette played net for the Lakers, facing 11 shots. The Lakers managed 19 shots on Elgin's goalie.

at Hamilton - November 20th
On Sunday in Hamilton, the Lakers and Reps played their 2nd game of the regular season. In one of their more complete games of the season, the PeeWees defeated the Reps 3-0, outshooting them 19-12. All team aspects were clicking in this game. Brock Baier made key saves on two long Rep powerplays and the penalty killing units were perfect. The Laker transition game was outstanding, resulting in 2 of the 3 Laker goals. Once again, the Laker Breakout was excellent, giving the Reps few offences chances. The Laker forecheck was relentless all game, causing Hamilton to play a large portion of game in their own end. Scoring was as follows:

#1 - Noah Kuno with assists to Ashton Stockie and Tanner Johnston.
#2 - Stockie unassisted.
#3 - Wil Thibeault from Kade Landry.

Next up for the PeeWees is the Kitchener Blueline tournament this upcoming weekend.
