Minor Atom Coach Needed for 2007/2008 Season
Submitted By tgoetz on Tuesday, January 16, 2007
If you love coaching high performance athletes, there is a tremendous opportunity awaiting. To date the Huron Perth Lakers have received no applicants for next years Minor Atom group.

Coaching can be an immensely rewarding experience. One of the biggest influences in my childhood was a coach, and I am eternally grateful for his involvement in my development. In a large way he is likely responsible for my interest in coaching over the years. My wife was a teacher for 10 years and is now a vice-principal, she was often envious that my classroom was full of students with a strong desire to learn. When I turn around from my board every eye is glued to it awaiting instruction, not always the case coaching elsewhere. A coach can impact an individual for the rest of their life, and being a Laker coach provides you with an environment where you teach kids that want to learn, in an environment with lots of support from our coach mentor and fellow coaches. If you are an interested individual that has a passion for sport and youth development, or are aware of someone that is, perhaps an individual doing a great job of the novice program in your area, please give us a call.
