Lakers Grieve Loss of John O'Keefe
The Lakers hockey family was stunned and saddened at the news of the sudden passing away of John O’Keefe on Monday, February 26th. At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Shelley and the children: Mackinley, Riley, and Kailey.

John was Team Manager for the Lakers 1995 team the past two years (Minor Peewee this year and Major Atom last year). John’s friendly demeanour, positive outlook, excellent organizational skills, and unwavering commitment and passion to provide a positive hockey environment for all players set an example for us all. John was a great team supporter who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. On both teams (Mackinley and the Minor Peewees, Riley and the Minor Atoms), John was someone you could go ask anything of and he would do it or see that it got done. John will be greatly missed by both teams and the broader Lakers hockey family.

Friends will be received at McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St. in Goderich on Wednesday, Feb. 28th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, Mar. 1st from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Goderich on Friday, Mar. 2nd at 11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Kingsbridge. Donations to the O'Keefe Children Education Fund are gratefully acknowledged.
