O'Reilly Named AHL Rookie of the Month

First-Year Center Posted Nine Points in Five Games

Milwaukee, WI—The American Hockey League announced today that Milwaukee Admirals center Cal O'Reilly has been named the Rbk Hockey/AHL Rookie of the Month for April.

O’Reilly registered three goals and six assists for nine points, along with a plus-5 rating, in five games for the playoff-bound Admirals. The Toronto, ON native recorded a pair of three-point games – both against Chicago – tallying a goal and two assists each on Apr. 6 and Apr. 13, and also scored a goal in Milwaukee’s 3-1 win over Houston on Apr. 10. He finished up with an assist as the Admirals defeated Peoria, 4-0, on Apr. 15, closing out his rookie season with an eight-game scoring streak (4g, 9a).

In recognition of his achievement, O’Reilly will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Admirals home game.

O’Reilly led all AHL rookies with 47 assists and ranked tied for fifth with 65 points in 78 games for Milwaukee this season, his first pro campaign after three junior seasons with Windsor (OHL). Drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2005, O’Reilly finished fourth on the Admirals in goals (18) and second in points.
