Fraud Charges
The Executive of the Huron-Perth Lakers Hockey Association acknowledges that charges have been laid against a former treasurer of the organization relating to financial irregularities during her tenure.

The issues were brought to light by new measures put in place by the Executive's Budget Review Committee.

The alleged fraud took place from April 2004 to March 2007 and amounted to just over $32,000.

That same committee has also determined that this issue does not have any impact on the current financial status of the Association or our ability to operate our hockey program as planned.

As the matter is now before the courts, the Executive will have no further comments.

Respectfully,

Huron-Perth Lakers Executive
